Pinkins serves more 'Milk'
Tonya Pinkins has grew to become an associate from the cast in the approaching Off Broadway output of new play "Milk Like Sugar."Actress, who won a 1992 Tony on her behalf perf in "Jelly's Last Jam" plus much more recently was nommed for "Caroline, or Change" in 2004, presently appears inside the cast in the play's world preem at La Jolla Playhouse. Eisa Davis was aboard to star inside the show at Playwrights Horizons but has since dropped out due to a film commitment, according to reps.The Off Broadway version can change the entire La Jolla cast to Playwrights Horizons, where the show begins previews the next month.Kristen Greenidge's play concentrates on an inner-city teen girl whose chance of more is potentially impeded having a pact she produced using her pals. Pinkins plays the protag's mother in the staging helmed by Rebecca Taichman on shores.Gotham bow of "Milk," produced by Playwrights as well as the Women's Project, begins previews March. 13 before a November. 1 opening.
